Hi! My name is Mandy, wife to my best friend, homeschooling Momma of two wild and creative children living on Nova Scotia, Canada's misty shore. I am a multi-passionate, creative entrepreneur following my heart... Photographer, Dancer, Writer, retired Naturopathic Doctor, Biologist, Healer, Intuitive, Mother... Welcome Arms came forth through my love of imagery and life; My passion to connect and create, and my love for people and their stories. I revel in seeing the beauty, strength, light and love in my surroundings and aim to capture and connect in the moment. My promise to you is that I put my heart into my sessions. I listen to your words, follow my intuition and feel the moment unfolding before me... guiding, following, connecting. I have a passion for inspiring and connecting with others, being a guide and support as you traverse this journey called life - to be seen and heard, to expand your mindset, to feel hope and belief in self, to welcome what makes your heart soar... whether in your professional or personal experiences. I connect through words and imagery and I teach tools including mindfulness, essential oil wellness and movement practices. I support and guide you through conversations and I listen, being a sounding board for you. I offer Reiki sessions, an ancient energy practice, that often opens up more discovery and healing of self. Photography is powerful, it is an art that can support healing, it can empower and lift you up and it can bring you to your knees. For me, photography is more than the technical settings and tack sharp captures... it is ART, a vision with emotion, love, movement... I see it as heart-felt imagery... a moment captured in time for you and your loved ones to cherish always! I take great pride in being a part of your vision... whether family, youth, creative entrepreneurs...to tell your story. Dance and poetry make me smile and I value a healthy, holistic lifestyle. Family... spending time outdoors with my loved ones exploring our beautiful province of Nova Scotia. Seaside adventures are a favorite with our kiddos.
The sea... collecting rounded stones and delicate seashells, splashing in the waves, smelling the fresh salt air, discovering tidal pool treasures, and building sand creations. Good food... Enjoying lots of delicious tastes, supporting local produce and farms, preparing healthy food for my family and teaching the importance of "grow foods" to my children. Music and Dance... singing and creating songs with my kids, feeling my spirits lift as I listen to a beautiful Celtic ballad, dancing with my children around the house, engaging in my own movement practice, or enjoying an adult dance class.
